Belgium
Bond Beter Leefmilieu (BBL), a Brussels-based umbrella organisation of Flemish environmental NGOs, leads the Plan4Climate work in Flanders, Belgium, contributing expertise on energy and climate policy and connecting the regional and federal level to the EU level and vice versa.
Czechia
Centre for Transport and Energy (CDE) leads the project implementation in Czechia, promoting ambitious and fair climate policy to drive effective emission reductions, support a just energy transition, and ensure transparent use of public funds for positive climate action.
Croatia
Society for Sustainable Development Design (DOOR) is implementing the Plan4Climate project in Croatia. DOOR is an NGO with long-time experience in energy and climate topics and working with a wide range of stakeholders.
Estonia
In Estonia, the project is led by Estonian Fund for Nature. Our main goal is to support and foster climate action, engaging decision-makers and public in particular.
Slovenia
In Slovenia, the project is led by Focus Association for Sustainable Development. Focus works to advance ambitious climate and energy policies, engaging civil society and decision-makers. Our key ambition is strengthening Slovenia’s NECP to align with 1.5°C and ensure a just transition.
Germany
In Germany, the project is implemented by Germanwatch. We monitor Germany’s progress toward the EU climate and energy targets and make national recommendations for policy measures and financing solutions to address ambition gaps. Germanwatch is also responsible for coordinating the Multi-Annual Financial Framework (MFF) activities within the project.
Poland
In Poland, Institute for Sustainable Development Foundation is a project partner. For 35 years the ISD Foundation has taken part in non-governmental monitoring and discussion about climate and energy policy in Poland. ISD Foundation delivers climate policy information to the Polish audience through https://www.chronmyklimat.pl/ website.
Hungary
Friends of the Earth Hungary (MTVSZ) is implementing Plan4Climate project in Hungary. We work for a just energy transition towards climate neutrality, advocating for ambitious national climate and energy policies, measures and adequate public finance, engaging stakeholders especially civil society, and decisionmakers in all levels.
France
In France, the Plan4Climate project is led by Réseau Action Climat, a national network of 27 NGOs working to track and improve climate policies and focus on the just transition.
Spain
In Spain, the project is led by SEO/BirdLife. As a conservation organisation, one of our main ambitions is to transition to renewable energy whilst preserving biodiversity.
Italy
WWF, founded in Switzerland in 1961, is one of the world’s largest nature conservation organisations. In 1966, WWF arrived in Italy with the aim of preserving our natural heritage: only by protecting nature can we also protect our well-being and our future on the planet that hosts us.
Bulgaria
In Bulgaria the project is led by Environmental Association “Za Zemiata”, founded in 1995. We strive to ensure that citizens and communities are informed and empowered (on environmental issues) and participate in decision-making and implementation.
Portugal
In Portugal the project is led by ZERO, an environmental organization founded in 2015. We plan to focus on monitoring the implementation of the NECP in Portugal, ensuring its ambition.
